Can't find time during your work week for therapy?
No time or energy to deal with parking?
Tired of paying too much money for ineffective treatment that seems to go nowhere?
Tired of dealing with the pain of pornography or sex addiction?
Weekends Work just might be what you are seeking! I provide services on Saturday and Sunday mornings each week.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Louisiana Counseling Board Approved Supervisor specializing in LGBTQ couples and family counseling.
Over 20 years experience as a therapist, educator, program director, crisis interventionist, and supervisor will provide you with an exemplary clinician who is solid in knowledge as to the application of theory to complex human problems and concerns. Together, you and I will identify and work toward the changes you seek in your life. In me, you will find compassion, warmth, understanding, and humor. These qualities, combined with my unique capacity to translate complex theories into everyday language will help you to understand yourself, your relationships, and your brain's chemistry (yes, it DOES matter:) with greater clarity. From this starting point, we will work together to achieve the changes you seek in your life and relationships.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I have presented at local and national conferences and to general audiences on the topics of pornography addiction, crisis intervention, ethics, and application of a strengths perspective to youth and families involved with juvenile justice and child welfare systems.
Sessions with me are dynamic, interactive, fun (yes, fun), strengths-driven, and focused on outcomes. My therapeutic approach is to provide solid knowledge of theories of human development and the brain combined with goal setting, support and practical feedback to help people effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I help people to build on unique strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
